Bosta in Bernera- This beach on the west coast of Lewis is one of our loveliest. The area is steeped in history. Recently iron-age dwellings were uncovered in the sand by a storm and have since been excavated. The sea on the West Atlantic can be very wild and you can sense this even on a calm day.
